The body has its own wisdom. There is a Spinal Wave sitting inside every human body, waiting to connect our brain with our nervous system and fully explore the wisdom within. The body has an innate intelligence to help us respond to the demands of the world around us. Just as there is a state of equilibrium where healing, digestion and wellbeing happen, there is equally a load of pressure and stress in our modern lives. The three most common forms of stress store as spinal blockages; emotional, chemical, and physical blockages. Emotional stress from past traumas, chemical stress from the foods we eat and the products that surround us and physical stress from accidents, postural strain or sustained sitting lead to blockages.
The Spinal Flow Technique is a holistic approach to healing that focuses on identifying and releasing spinal blockages in the nervous system. The human body has everything it needs inside of it to heal, particularly the 33 access points. These points are located mostly on the sacrum and cranium, where the dura mater is close to the skin. Making contact with these access points sends a message to the brain to release spinal blockages.
We cannot heal when our body is in fight, flight or freeze response. The spine and nervous system are the master controllers of the human body but stressors can interrupt the healthy flow of messages up and down the spine through our nerves to our organs. In the Spinal Flow Technique once the Spinal Flow wave travels the entire length of the spine, the heart starts to activate and take over. I move my client onto their back and I can visually see the heart leading the way for healing. This is truly a magical process and it's phenomenal to watch.

Spinal blockages are a bit like static interference for our master controller – the spine and nervous system – which can block the flow of our body’s aptitude to heal itself. Spinal Flow Technique helps locate blockages that cause symptoms like pain or illness by making contact with the 33 access points of the spine to allow healing to happen.

Spinal Flow Technique uses touch, palpation, anatomical postural assessments and the 7 gateways of the spine to help locate spinal blockages. Treatment consists of being fully clothed, wearing comfortable loose clothing while laying face down on a massage table. If one is unable to lay face down, sitting is an option. As your Practitioner, I will gently apply touch on different access points along your coccyx, sacrum, and cranium. During treatment, I guide you to connect with your breath and to bring awareness to the different points of contact.
Each session may be experienced differently. Clients commonly experience immense relaxation and awareness, tingling or a floating sensation, deeper breathing and awareness of breath, a deep meditative state, energy moving through the body, twitching, physical movement, and/or feelings of emotions coming up to the surface to be released. The body is doing the healing, we just allow the body to release what has been stored.
Frequency will look different for everyone as we all have different stories and experiences and hold our stress differently. Some people respond quickly and some may need more sessions more often. Some people have been holding onto stress and emotions for years, decades, and even lifetimes. We will work together as a team to create a plan that is right for you and we can adjust as needed.
